REVERSE ENGINEERING TO ACHIEVE HIGHER FUNCTIONALITY


Working within the pharmaceutical industry, our customer asked CMW to reverse engineer their existing tote bin design. Their goal was to lengthen the life cycle while maintaining the bins current capacity and functionality. These components transport dry product and are subject to constant handling. The original design was made from a plastic material. Our customer wanted to compare costs on alternate materials of construction. With input from CMW they decided on a light weight and durable stainless steel that complies with the original design footprint. Using SolidWorks® to redesign these bins, CMW was able to maintain the capacity, increase functionality and lengthen the life cycle. By leveraging our engineering staff's technical expertise, our reverse engineering services and our craftsmen's ability to execute on our fabrication plan we are able to exceed our customer's expectations.
